I have been working in healthcare for 8 years, and qualified as a dental nurse 6 years ago. I'm registered with the General Dental Council (GDC), which means every treatment I provide follows strict clinical standards and the regulations set out for aesthetic practice - not just guidelines I choose to follow, but ones I'm professionally accountable to.

Staying registered means always staying current. I continue to practice as a dental nurse alongside my aesthetic work, which keeps my healthcare knowledge sharp and up to date with the most modern clinical information available. It also means my approach to infection control and cross-contamination is second nature, built from years of working in clinical, healthcare environments where these standards aren't optional.

To maintain my registration, I'm required to complete regular continued professional development (CPD), deepening my anatomical and physiological knowledge year on year. This isn't a box-ticking exercise for me, it's what makes me a safer, more knowledgeable, and more confident practitioner with every course I complete.

I gained my qualification in aesthetics with the Derma Institute in London, where I completed the Level 7 Diploma in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies - the highest qualification available to a medic in aesthetics. I chose to pursue this because I wanted to set a higher standard for myself.

It gave me a thorough, in-depth grounding in anatomy, physiology, and clinical practice that goes well beyond entry-level training in this industry. Combined with my healthcare background, it means every patient who sits in my chair gets the most thorough, considered care I can offer - from someone who's invested in doing this properly.
